Our First Time on Bimini

Bimini is a small island that is part of the Bahamas. It is the closest point in the Bahamas to the mainland United States and is about 130 miles to Nassau.

Bruce and I bought a shuttle pass and it came with a drink and chaise for $38. If you travel to Bimini, it’s a free shuttle and you can use the chaise lounges. So I wouldn’t purchase this again.

The beach was lovely with temperate waters and so clear I could see my feet. The water was particularly salty which made it easy to float. And the sandy bottom felt soft and smooth.

We could see our ship in the distance.

It was a wonderful way to spend our 32nd Wedding Anniversary.

In 2015, I retired and my goal was to do as much traveling as I possibly could. I started the blog for our first month long trip to Panama in October 2015. My sister Linda and her husband Stan joined Bruce and I on our first trip and we decided together on the name the four amigos. Since then, we don’t always travel with them, sometimes just Bruce and I, sometimes other people, whoever wants to join us on our crazy journeys. The name stuck and I grew an affinity to it. So here we are. I invite you to join thefouramigos blog on our next destination.
