Our Last Day in Maine

Today we had a leisurely start to our day heading to Dysarts for breakfast. I wasn’t very hungry so I had a toasted blueberry muffin. It was delicious.

If you never had Maine blueberries, they are much smaller than high bush blueberries from other states. These little berries are packed with a powerful punch of flavor. Once you have a Maine blueberry, all others will pale in comparison.

This is an old picture of the kids when we went blueberry picking in Maine.

Kristy and Trafton came to say goodbye today so we spent a little bit of time visiting with them.

We headed out to an antique store.

This store had a basement and an upstairs—a lot of stuff. From garden statues to coffee mugs, they had it all.

We even ran into the Blues Brothers and Marilyn.

And of course Bruce found a cannon.

For dinner, we ate at Wimpy’s again and I had my fourth and final lobster for this trip.

Tomorrow we head home to Florida to rest up for our next adventure!

In 2015, I retired and my goal was to do as much traveling as I possibly could. I started the blog for our first month long trip to Panama in October 2015. My sister Linda and her husband Stan joined Bruce and I on our first trip and we decided together on the name the four amigos. Since then, we don’t always travel with them, sometimes just Bruce and I, sometimes other people, whoever wants to join us on our crazy journeys. The name stuck and I grew an affinity to it. So here we are. I invite you to join thefouramigos blog on our next destination.
