What can I say! I just love to travel and cruising is an easy way to do it. This one’s a short one. Five nights on Royal Caribbean’s the Grandeur of the Seas. Two ports. Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

This is our first time in an ocean-view cabin. It’s cute. It’s big enough to have a small sofa. Lots of surprising storage space. But no mini fridge and there was hair and body wash all in one in the shower. I forgot to pack some and they were good enough to bring me shampoo and conditioner. We also asked for a fridge and they gave us a medical one. Very small but big enough for Bruce’s milk and Gatorade.
The ship is an older, smaller one. A little tired and will need some cosmetic work if it’s going to continue operating in the future.
We spent a little time relaxing in the grown-ups only solarium.

Then listened to a duo in the Centrum.

Two nights of escargot, I have to say it’s not the best. I think it needs more garlic. But all is good with the food.
Tomorrow Labadee, Haiti

Hi,
Sounds like a fun and relaxing trip! I love how you give little details about the cabin—it’s always interesting to hear what’s different from ship to ship. Too bad about the escargot, though—garlic makes everything better! Looking forward to hearing about Labadee!

Thanks for your comment. This morning we had coffee delivered to our stateroom. Now our door won’t close. The ship does need a lot of work

You’re welcome! Oh no, a broken door doesn’t sound ideal—hope they can fix it quickly! At least you’ve got coffee to start the day. Looking forward to hearing more about your adventures!

It closes thank goodness – because they can’t get the part until February 19th. They were very apologetic and offered us a bottle of wine!

Glad to hear the door is mostly functional! That’s a bit wild they can’t get the part until the 19th. Good on them for the wine, though – hopefully, it makes the slightly-wonky-door situation a little more bearable. Enjoy the rest of your day!”
