Having Enough

What does “having it all” mean to you? Is it attainable?

Having it all means having enough. Being satisfied with what I have and not always looking for more.

Our society has become one of success being measured by how much you have. Keeping up with the next guy.

My measurement of success is being happy with all that I have. Having gratitude for what I have been given.

Most of the things I measure having it all in included love, friendships, and health rather than material goods. Not saying I don’t have those things. I own a home. I own a car. I travel a lot. And I don’t have to worry about money.

But I have lots of love in my life, I have the dearest of friendships and my health is relatively good for someone in their 70s. So measuring those things, I have it all and have great gratitude for everybody in my life!

Life is Grand!

In 2015, I retired and my goal was to do as much traveling as I possibly could. I started the blog for our first month long trip to Panama in October 2015. My sister Linda and her husband Stan joined Bruce and I on our first trip and we decided together on the name the four amigos. Since then, we don’t always travel with them, sometimes just Bruce and I, sometimes other people, whoever wants to join us on our crazy journeys. The name stuck and I grew an affinity to it. So here we are. I invite you to join thefouramigos blog on our next destination.
