Mallorca and Majorca are the same Spanish island, but “Mallorca” is the official, local Catalan/Spanish spelling (pronounced Mah-YOR-ka), while “Majorca” is an older Anglicized spelling commonly used in the UK. Both are pronounced the same way. Mallorca is the preferred spelling. Whichever spelling you choose, it’s a charming island with a lot of history.
