Well we are back on the road again. This time a quick trip to California to meet our newest granddaughter, Lillian. She was born the 1st of June to Bruce’s oldest daughter, Kami and her husband Eric. Lillian is our seventh grandchild – 4 girls and 3 boys.
We left Columbia on Wednesday afternoon and arrived in Reno that evening. We made reservations at the Peppermill Resort and casino. Of course I booked a room through Priceline for $55 and when we arrived, they upgraded us to a suite. Very sweet!
We had a great time and even came out a few dollars ahead!
We drove the scenic drive to Truckee, CA to meet the newest member of the Clan.
Bruce, better known as PopPop to his grandkids, has always had a way with children.
We spent the afternoon and evening at Thursday’s in Truckee street fair which happens every Thursday throughout the summer. Vendors sell their artistic works and food trucks sell a tasty variety of foods.
It was nice for Bruce to spend time with his daughter since he hasn’t seen her for quite a long time.
And precious little Lillian slept through the entire event. She is such a good baby!
